Formula 1 versus NASCAR

Apr

Sunday morning I got to watch the Grand Prix of Bahrain Formula race live instead of having to watch the recorded version.  It started at 730am and was well worth being up that early on a Sunday to watch.  Vettel started on the pole and finished P1, announcing to the world that he hadn't lost his mojo.  What made the race so worth watching was what happened behind him. Kimi Raikkonen, who started 11th raced his way to a second place finish and Romain Grosjean his Lotus teammate finished third after starting 7th.

Dillon Motor Speedway Lends A Helping Hand To Drivers - Drivers In Local Divisions Will Enter The Gates For Free In 2012

Dillon, SC, APRIL 21st, 2012: Dillon Motor Speedway and Fred Bowker of RacewayAutomotive.com have teamed up to allow drivers who compete in the local divisions to enter the gates for free during the 2012 season points races.

All season long, except special events, the DMS local drivers that compete at the speedway will enter the gates for free. This is yet another aspect of Dillon Motor Speedway’s Full Throttle campaign which will continue improving throughout the season. One of the reasons for this new approach is because of the rising gas prices which are expected to get even high as the season reaches its midway point. The divisions that are eligible include: Late Models; Super Trucks; Chargers; Street Stocks; Four Cylinders; Mini Cups; and UCARs.
